How were they used?

This question is more for a specialist in Swedish music history to answer: but it is clear that most of the music was in practical use, in cathedral schools and choirs, the gymnasium- schools, and in the amateur music societies; some of the material in Stockholm was used professionally too, at court and in the theatre.

Växjö has two copies of one work, the one with corrections and bar-lines added by hand, the other apparently untouched, perhaps a library copy.
