Bardic Harp - assembly

Make sure the soundboard fits nicely over the soundbox, then glue and pin it in position. When you are ready to assemble the neck and pillar to the body, check that the fitting is good everywhere before commencing decoration and carving. It is a good idea to assemble the three main parts of` the harp dry, i.e. using screws only, no glue.

Having made sure that there are no appreciable gaps anywhere, dismantle the harp and start working on the decoration; for guidance, the reader should refer to the chapter on carving and gilding.
