ilian angsepp

graduated from the department of choir conducting and musicology of Tartu College of Music, and from the department of musicology at the Estonian Academy of Music.

Having made active research in European early music history, she has also taken part in harpsichord master classes with J. Ogg, Hughette Dreyfus. Since autumn 1997 she has been taking postgraduate studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, majoring in historical harp-playing.

Lilian has taught music history in Tartu College of Music and is currently teaching early music history at the University of Tartu. Besides recording with Via Sonora she has made several recordings with medieval harp for Estonian Radio as well as Estonian TV. She has also worked with the Tallinn early music group 'Linnamuusikud'. She joined Via Sonora in 1989.
